Dubai is one of the seven emirates which is part of the United Arab Emirates. There are five public and 58 private colleges and universities in Dubai open to the public. A common choice of the students aspiring to study in Dubai is Al Ghurair University which was established to provide students with the necessary knowledge to provide for and care for their communities in life. Al Ghurair University (AGU) is licensed by MOHESR. It offers bachelor's degrees across its three colleges, namely the College of Business Studies (COBS), the College of Computing, and the College of Engineering and Applied Sciences.

The University of Dubai is another popular choice of the students; it is an internationally and nationally accredited university based in the center of Dubai city. It was earlier established to address the skill gap in the workforce but now offers bachelors degree programs in business administration, management, marketing, finance, banking, accounting, human resources management, entrepreneurship management, economics, supply chain, and logistics management, and information technology, along with master's degree programs in business administration (MBA), information systems (MScIS) and law (LLM).
